Coronation Street: Carla, Kate and Michelle argue over Aidan
Johnny (played by Richard Hawley) has a big week of Coronation Street ahead of him, as he and his wife Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) get ready to purchase the Rovers Return.
The couple have been secretly plotting to take the pub over from under the noses of Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and her new boyfriend Henry Newton (George Banks).
But as the final preparations are made for the couple to take over the pub, Johnny begins to panic about his secret love affair with Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard).
Meanwhile Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and her now ex-partner Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) begin to worry about whether Henry has signed paperwork for the pub.
The last minute mix-up allows Johnny and Jenny to swoop in and claim the business for themselves.
And things are set to get even more complicated next week as Jenny goes on to thank Liz for her constant support.
But Liz and Johnny quickly begin worrying about their recent hook-up, and how it could be exposed now that they are working in close proximity to each other.
This tension is made even worse as Liz’s son Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) recently confronted Johnny over his adulterous act.
And with the pair in question now destined to be together at the pub, could Steve lose his rag and out them to Jenny?
To throw even more spanners in the works, Jenny works on growing the pub’s business by looking for new employees.
And as Gemma will be distraught over losing the pub, she becomes Jenny’s first idea.
She goes on to invite the youngster to become a new regular bartender, but Gemma is unsure.
But if Liz and Johnny get found out later on, Gemma may be in pole position to swoop in and take the Rovers back from the Connors.
Until then, Johnny and Jenny are left to put together the pub of their dreams, whilst Johnny continues to ignore Liz.
Johnny’s troubles follow the announcement that Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia) will receive some horrible news in next week’s episodes.
Hassan Habeeb (Kriss Dosanjh) arrives at Imran’s (Charlie De Melo) solicitors office next week, much to his surprise.
He lets himself in to invite Imran to his 60th birthday party - but Rana isn’t invited.
Imran is obviously left utterly devastated, as he is horrified by the decision to leave his sister out.
But is this the beginning of Imran’s rebellion against his parents?
Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
