Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers: Jon Snow actor Kit Harington hints ‘emotional’ finale
GAME OF THRONES fans are expecting a lot of the final season of the show, and many are wondering whether fan-favourite Jon Snow will survive through the show.
Game of Thrones: Episode 7: Inside the Episode
Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) will have a large part to play in the final season of Game of Thrones.
And while fans have to wait until next year to find out what is going to happen with him they have begun theorising over whether he will make it through to the final scenes alive.
Fans last saw Jon sleeping with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) after their agreement with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
And while their relationship was much anticipated by the fans, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) was not too impressed by it.
As Jon and Daenerys currently hold stakes to the thrones, Cersei may not be very happy about their coupling.
But could Cersei set out to take down Jon in the final season once the White Walkers have been dealt with?
Or alternatively, could Jon be at risk of losing his life to the Night King and his now undead dragon?
Jon actor Kit appeared on BBC Radio 2 this evening, where he spoke about wrapping up the show once and for all.
Although the pressure is finally off of his shoulders, Kit admitted he has “always enjoyed” the massive success of the show.
He continued: “I’ve actually just wrapped on Thursday last week.
They were a family and it was my life. I’ve loved every minute of it
“And it’s just been this amazing journey. I kinda said to them on my wrap speech that it’s always been more than a job.
“They were a family and it was my life. I’ve loved every minute of it.
“I’ve been quite emotional all last week thinking about having finished it.”
But could Kit’s emotional final speech hint at the end of his character’s journey?
If Jon were to die it may have come as quite a shock to Kit, as it was recently revealed that the stars of the show would not know anything about their scenes until the last minute.
Speaking to Digital Spy she said: “Yeah, it's all true. I mean, we wouldn't get anything physical. We would have it on an app.
“We would get sent sides for the scene [we were shooting] the next day. So we would have to learn it all the day before.
“And once you've read it, it disappears 24 hours later, and you can never access it again.”
Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
