Casualty: Fans shocked at Alicia Munroe’s harrowing storyline amid Eddie McAllister twist
CASUALTY fans saw the continuation of Alicia Munroe’s harrowing rape story this evening, and were shocked by a couple of twists that were awaiting them.
Casualty: Eddie and Alicia go home together after their night out
Alicia’s (played by Chelsea Halfpenny) story continued this evening as she returned to work after her last horrifying episode.
Her night out with colleague Eddie McAllister (Joe Gaminara) turned sinister last week as she got extremely drunk.
After piecing together what had happened the night before, she realised she did not give Eddie consent to sleep with her.
Despite the fact that Eddie raped Alicia, he doesn’t realise he has done anything wrong.
When Alicia realised Eddie didn’t know what was going on, she couldn’t stand to be near him and ran out of the operating room.
Eddie’s ignorance left fans utterly shocked and angry as well.
Fans on social media were particularly vocal about their hatred for Eddie, with one writing: “Gaaaah I hate Eddie #Casualty.”
Another added: “Oh Eddie, just leave her alone #Casualty.”
While another passionate fan raged: “NAH YOU ARE NOT BLAMING ALICIA FOR THIS, YOU ARE NOT BLAMING HER FOR YOU BEING A RAPIST #Casualty.”
The ordeal left Alicia in a bad way, leaving her to change all of her shifts around to avoid Eddie.
But fans were elated when she invited Bea Kinsella (Michelle Fox) to come and live with her.
Bea experienced her own problems in the episode, as her alcoholic father was arrested, forcing her to leave work and rescue him.
The final moments of the show saw Bea arriving at Alicia’s house, and moving in - and fans were absolutely ecstatic.
One screamed: “ALICIA AND BEA! CRYING!#Casualty.”
Another emoted: “I’m so happy for Alicia!! Her and Bea friendship is so lovely!! #casualty xoxox.”
“Bea is just what Alicia needs #Casualty,” added a third.
“Yaaaaaasssssss Bea!!!! #Casualty,” wrote another.
But will the constant support of Bea allow Alicia to tell someone what she has gone through?
Or will Eddie get away with his heinous act as he still doesn’t know what he has done wrong?
Casualty continues Saturday at 8.25pm on BBC One.
