Britain’s Got Talent 2018: Ant McPartlin SHOCKED by terrifying show ordeal
BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT continued on ITV tonight with a thrilling performance from Marcel and his troupe of illusionists, but the terrifying showcase left Ant McPartlin utterly shocked.
BGT: Ant receives a nasty shock from magic act
Marcel, a 35-year-old fantasy illusionist, revealed that he had been working on his act since he was just 15.
As Marcel started his act from beneath a duvet on a portable bed on the stage, Ant and Dec discovered he would not be alone on the stage.
Dec tapped his co-host to warn him that somebody was standing behind him.
The masked performer then gave Ant a fright by launching themselves toward him.
Terrified, Ant gasped for breath and clutched his heart in horror.
Shaken and surprised, Ant laughed it off and said: “Oh, jeez.”
As the performance took a darker twist onstage, Dec turned to the camera and said: “Quite scary!”
Following the performance, the cameras cut back to Ant and Dec who were hiding behind a curtain.
Ant popped his head out from behind a smiling Dec and asked: “Have they gone?”
As the crowd applauded Marcel’s act, Simon Cowell asked why they had chosen to perform on the British version of the show.

Oh, jeez
Marcel explained: “We love the UK and we haven’t performed here so much yet.
“So this show is a great way to show our magic to many people here and we hope to come back many times.”
Jude Alesha Dixon said: “It was like a scene from a movie. I’m gobsmacked. It was so slick - the costumes, the acting. Everything about that was first class!”
David Walliams smiled: “It was great. There was so much going on, so much detail at every point. I’m sure there’s like a two-hour Vegas show in this for you guys, right? I can see where this is heading.”
Amanda Holden gushed: “For me it was very reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil. It felt so twisted and so dark and so surreal - it was like the inside of Simon’s mind. I loved it.”

“Can I tell you something Marcel? I am thrilled that you chose Britain’s Got Talent to show this.
“I mean, it’s really good. Do you know what I also like? I like that big ambition.
“I think magic is getting bigger and bigger and bigger. So this is great timing.”
