The BBC Breakfast presenter welcomed viewers back to today’s instalment following the local news and weather before chomping on one of the sweet treats.
“Welcome back, you’re watching BBC Breakfast,” she smiled before picking up a marshmallow with a chopstick.
Stunned, her co-host Charlie told her: “You’re not supposed to.
“You’re really not supposed to eat those… yet.”
As Naga continued to enjoy the delicious treat, Charlie explained: “It’s record-breaking.
“That’s what you’re going to. Would you like to explain?”
Naga, 43, shook her head and pointed to her mouth to explain she was still eating.
Smiling, Charlie told her: “We can wait.”
The studio fell into silence as Naga finished eating her marshmallow.
Clearly feeling slightly embarrassed by the situation, Naga was then seen pushing Charlie on the arm to express her annoyance that he would not help her out.

She eventually explained: “CBBC’S Officially Amazing, a modern reboot of Record Breakers is back on our screens today.
“Every episode features weird and wacky record breaking attempts from around the world.”
It was later revealed in the segment that the marshmallows were to be used for Naga’s own record-breaking attempt.
She was tasked with stacking the sweet treats up into a pyramid using chopsticks.
While the presenter began confidently, she quickly ran out of time and failed to complete the challenge.
BBC Breakfast: Naga could be seen pushing Charlie on the sofa
It came after Charlie left weather presenter Carol Kirkwood speechless on Thursday’s show.
The weatherwoman revealed that due to the hot weather she had chosen to wear open-toe sandals.
As the cameraman showed her feet live on air, Charlie noted that Carol should have had a manicure.
He remarked: “It’s a disgrace. Honestly, such a disgrace.”
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays on BBC One at 6am.
