Tonight’s first episode of Emmerdale’s double bill saw Ross Barton (played by Michael Parr) still dealing with his harrowing burn wounds.
Last month viewers saw Ross having an acid substance thrown onto half of his face.
The attack followed Debbie Dingle’s (Charley Webb) feud with Joseph Tate (Ned Porteous).
After becoming furious at him for almost destroying her family home with people in it, Debbie decided to teach him a lesson.
However her vengeance plot didn’t go as plan, and resulted in Ross getting caught in the mix as the acid was thrown at him.
After initially struggling to come to terms with the changes to his appearance, Ross has been hard at work recovering ever since.
However Ross quickly developed an addiction to his powerful pain medication.
As his recovery comes to an end, his pain medication is being reduced.
This situation worsened further in tonight’s episode when Ross visited his doctor for a check up.
He received the devastating news that he would no longer be permitted any pain medication.

"Lisa has not been able to do anything to resolve the situation with Liv and she's very upset that Liv has been sent down.”
She later confirmed that she hasn’t left the Emmerdale cast.
