The Chase: Bradley Walsh confuses Anne and contestant
Tonight’s episode of The Chase saw all four members Bradley Walsh’s group proceeding to the final chase.
An unhappy Anne Hegerty berated the group for not taking the high offers, but earlier on in the game Anne was the one left red-faced.
Bradley was up to his old tricks during the first contestant’s head-to-head round.
Teacher Emily stepped up to the plate to garner a respectable £4,000 in her cash builder.
She was then asked: “#keepthemruby was used in a fundraising campaign by the Smithsonian to preserve props from what film? Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind.”
Bradley revealed that she had chosen The Wizard of Oz.
She explained her answer: “Ruby slippers - wouldn’t that be Wizard of Oz?”
Bradley began looking nervous, striking fear into Emily’s confidence.
He replied: “Yeah, it would have been. I sorta get it, because of the ruby slippers.
“However Ruby Miller was the props master in Gone with the Wind.”

Stunned by the mistake, Emily groaned: “Oh, well that’s not great is it?”
But all was not how it seemed as Bradley revealed that the answer was in fact The Wizard of Oz.
The host laughed: “I made that bit up!”
Emily was shocked that Bradley would play this trick on her, adding: “So mean!”
Anne chimed in to admit: “You managed to silently freak both of us out by saying that - you know that don’t you?”

Over the weekend Bradley banned Olympian ice skater Jayne Torvill from ever returning to the show.
He pulled her to one side and announced: “Never return to this show!”
