Mark was tasked with facing contestants Charlie, Suzi, Daniel and Marty on the episode.
However, 52-year-old chaser Mark was not expecting to hear the comments that 33-year-old Hampshire-based ski-chalet manager Charlie made.
Host Bradley Walsh asked the player which chaser he wanted to face.
Charlie said: “I’d like to face Mark because he’s probably enjoy one of my four-course chalet dinners.”
As Mark walked out towards his seat, Charlie looked shocked.
He then added: “I’m kind of regretting that comment now.”
However, The Beast smirked and snapped at the contestant.
He teased: “Four-course meal? That’s an insult!
“Do you think I’m on a diet or something?”
Fans of the show instantly took to social media following the “insult”.

“Is this guy trying to advertise his chalet business every time he opens his mouth? #TheChase,” asked another.
Charlie made it back to the table for the final chase.
He had managed to take the £5,000 from his cash builder round, although could have earned £30,000 after two brutal mistakes by Mark.
Bradley commented: “Good player, could have gone for it! I tell you what, well done Charlie, through to the final.”

The chaser revealed his concern at having a “rare bad day”.
Mark added: “I’m a bit worried because I made two errors that I wouldn’t usually make. Maybe I’m having that rare bad day!”
Charlie and Marty managed to beat the chaser and took home £12,000 in the final chase.
Mark said: “They played well. Sorry I lost that one, but well played guys!”
