The programme featured some of Sir Bruce Forsyth's favourite songs performed by a wealth of artists, including Dame Shirley Bassey.
However, it was Sir Bruce’s widow Wilnelia that had viewers in tears with her emotional speech to her late husband.
Lady Forsyth said: “There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him.
“He brightened my days with his laughter and his sense of humour.

“He was a great father, a great husband and most of all he was my very dear friend.
“Bruce always understood how important everyone was in a production. From the director to the runners. From the stage door keeper to the producer.”
She added: “He used to say this at the end of shows and I’m going to use his words tonight.
“I would like to thank everyone, and I do mean everyone, for all you have done to make this evening so special.”
