Piers Morgan mocks Alex Beresford over his DOI exit
Good Morning Britain’s weatherman Alex was booted off the ITV ice-skating series last night and he found himself being mocked by Piers Morgan when he returned to the studio.
“I’m good, I had an absolutely amazing time,” insisted Alex.
But Piers interrupted, commenting: “After this segment you will be placed back over there,” as he pointed to the weather podium.
Alex went on to note that he had spent a lot of time in rehearsals without his partner Brianne Delcourt before Sunday night’s Dancing On Ice.
“She would come in for half an hour and then she would go home,” he explained.
Unimpressed Piers hit back: “So it’s her fault?”
“No, I actually thought I would go out on the first week,” Alex stated. “I’m thrilled with how far I got.
“It was a tough skate off but I went out on a high.”

Piers, 52, replied: “Well you could have done higher. Where did you come?”
“I came fifth,” Alex said proudly.
Piers continued: “You didn’t even get a bronze medal. Imagine if you’d been able to replace your inherent blandness for my showmanship, then you would have done better.”
Alex wasn’t the only presenter Piers tore into on today’s show as he also mocked Charlotte Hawkins about her time on Strictly Come Dancing.

As he teased the weatherman, Charlotte quipped: “You do it next year then.”
“Where did you come?” the 52-year-old hit back, referencing her early exit from Strictly. “You were the worst ever right?
“You were Brendan’s [Cole] worst ever right?”
Charlotte sighed: “That’s not quite how I’d like to remember it.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
