Footage appears to show Game Of Thrones set on FIRE
The actor, who picked up an award for his role as Ser Davos Seaworth in Game of Thrones at the IFTA Awards, said he was glad it was coming to a close.
But while he might not be too sad to see the back of his character, he joked: “My accountant doesn’t want it to end, he’s got his nails bit down to the quick.”
Speaking about the finale and why the fantasy series should come to an end though, Liam explained: “This thing always had a beginning, middle and an end.
“And as me Dad used to say, ‘Jesus it’s a bit dragged out isn’t it,’ so we don’t want to drag it out.

The end is bittersweet
“We want to get out. We want to do like The Beatles or The Jam and get out at the top of it and get out before everyone hates us.”
Liam went on to add that he knows “exactly what’s going to happen”, noting: “I’ve read all the scripts.”
But he remained tight-lipped when quizzed by RTE Entertainment, simply commenting: “George R.R. Martin, writer of the original books, described the end as ‘bittersweet’ and it is.
“That’s all you’re getting. Think I’m going to give you a scoop? I’d get shot!”

Liam’s comments come after former star Ross Mullan, who played a White Walker between season two and four, shared an “incredible” backstage secret.
Revealing the amount of work that goes into the army of the dead’s chilling appearance, he shared: “With the White Walkers, it’s 99 per cent prosthetics.
“Only the steam coming off my body and the blue eyes are CGI. But you need a bit to blend the scene.
“When they were putting on the make-up I realised how incredibly beautiful the work was.

He added: “It’s about the difference between 100 per cent CGI work and prosthetic work.
“The best work lies in marrying the two I think.”
