The Voice UK 2018: Carol Smillie at auditions this weekend - and she’s PETRIFIED
THE VOICE UK will feature a very special appearance from Changing Rooms’ Carol Smillie on Saturday but she’ll be feeling the fear.

The TV presenter hasn’t been seen on screens of late, but the roles are reversed when she features on The Voice this weekend where she won't be doing any hosting duties.
While she was nicknamed “Smiley Smiley Carol Smillie” for her upbeat demeanour in her heyday, she’ll be showing a different side to viewers.
However, the 56-year-old won’t be taking up the mic while she’s there, instead, she’ll be there for her daughter, Jodie.
Carol is joined by her husband Alex Knight in the Voice studio as they provide some much needed support.

The mother-of-three won’t be seen beaming from ear to ear as she anxiously awaits to see if the judges turn around.
A source revealed to The Sun: “Viewers are used to seeing her grinning wildly but she looked really nervous.”
If successful, Jodie could find herself under the tutelage of Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Jennifer Hudson or Olly Murs.
Viewers will just have to wait and see if she makes it through to the next round.

Carol shot to fame as a presenter on Wheel of Fortune before becoming one of the most popular television hosts throughout the nineties and noughties.
She is perhaps most famous for her role on home improvement show Changing Rooms from 1996 to 2004.
Last year she revealed that she wouldn’t be happy if TV bosses looked elsewhere for a Changing Rooms host.
She claimed: “I’d be livid if they got someone else. It’s mine!”

Carol said if the show was revived, then it would have to be different as audience's tastes have altered over time.
“There was a real naivety back then – it genuinely was car crash TV.
"We would have to come up with a different angle definitely, something fresh and new but with the same people."
The Voice UK continues Saturday at 8.15pm on ITV.
