Coronation Street spoilers: SHOCKER as Dev Alahan commits unforgivable crime to Sean Tully
CORONATION STREET’S Dev Alahan committed daylight robbery with his extortionate prices in yesterday’s episode.
Coronation Street: Sean buys bread in Dev's shop
Coronation Street has seen a large amount of changes already this year, with the addition of a Costa Coffee and a Co-Op in Weatherfield.
Despite Coronation Street bosses promising that the fan favourite local businesses Roy’s Rolls and Dev’s corner shop will not be hurt by the chains, residents of the Street are already feeling the financial burn.
The first of last night’s Corrie episodes saw Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) oddly requesting a fly-swatter at Dev's (Jimmi Harkishin) corner shop.
Though initially unable to procure one, Sinead insisted he look in the back room of the shop.
Coronation Street: Dev completely ripped off Sean yesterday
Upon returning with said fly-swatter, he generously gave it to her free of charge.
Witnessing this act of kindness, Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) looked on hoping his loaf of bread would also be free-of-charge.
With nothing to lose, he asked: “Does the same go for me?”
Swatting the table, Dev stoically replied: “Uh, £1.17 please.”
Coronation Street: Sinead Tinker was looking for a very odd gift
Does the same go for me?
Baffled by this steep price for a local corner shop’s white loaf, fans fled to Twitter to express their disdain.
One wrote: "£1.17 for a loaf? Bet Sean is DEVastated."
Up against a brand new Co-Op, Dev’s competitor offers a loaf of white bread for a meagre 79p.
Perhaps Dev’s steep prices will be the ruin of his store, with better bread deals a small walk away.

Sinead was looking for the fly-swatter in the hopes that the gesture would entice Daniel Osbourne (Robert Mallard) back into her life.
However, the same episode showed Daniel hooking up with Carla Connor (Alison King).
Sinead has certainly moved on quickly after being left at the altar by Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) in the beginning of this year.
Meanwhile Chesney has been seen defending Prima-Doner colleague Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) as her boyfriend’s true colours have been revealed.
Coronation Street continues Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
