Rebecca's eyes move as Lachlan attempts to kill her
Lachlan (played by Thomas Atkinson) went through a rollercoaster of emotions this evening.
He began the episode by running out of his mother and grandfather’s funeral to hide away in Gerry Roberts’ (Shaun Thomas) house.
Stealing Gerry’s phone allowed Lachlan to listen to the voicemail he accidentally sent during the fatal crash.
However, he was interrupted by Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Gerry, who demanded that he tell them why he was so secretive of the message.

Breaking down while they listen to it, Lachlan convinced them to stop, while Belle consoled him.
But when Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) informed Lachlan that he will not give up on Rebecca until she is awake, he began to panic.
Heading to the hospital to see his aunt, Rebecca White (Emily Head), Lachlan looked panicked.
Lifting Rebecca’s hand and aggressively dropping it back onto the bed, Lachlan told her: “I’ve got my whole life ahead of me. I intend to make the most of it.

Which is why I can’t risk losing Belle again. She has to come first now
“It’s like everything’s better now,” he continued. “People finally care about me. They accept me.”
But he soon revealed his true intentions, as the conversation turned evil: “Which is why I can’t risk losing Belle again. She has to come first now.”
Crying, he looked at her breathing apparatus and said: “I’m sorry.”
Lachlan began holding the pipes connected to Rebecca, stopping her oxygen.
However it appeared that Lachlan had changed his mind as he was later seen outside of the hospital room with his head in his hands.

When Belle arrived to take him home, an argument broke out, with Lachlan exclaiming: “I thought I could do it Belle. Take control of it. I was wrong."
“You don’t know what’s around the corner, nobody does,” he said. “Bad things happen to me.”
“You just need to come home,” Belle pleaded.
“I need you to listen to me, give me space,” Lachlan finished before walking away.
“Why are you being like this?” Belle cried.
Lachlan hit back: “I mean it. Us, we shouldn’t be together. Whatever this is, it’s done.”
He was then seen running out of the room and punching a wall before breaking down over his decision.
