Emmerdale spoilers: Joe Tate shot by masked gunman TONIGHT? But who is he?
EMMERDALE fans will see Joseph Tate facing death in tonight’s episode.
Emmerdale: Cain coldly threatens Joe Tate over Debbie
Joe (played by Ned Porteous) is left on edge after Debbie’s Home Farm arson plans are stopped at the last minute by Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Ross Barton (Michael Parr).
Following yesterday’s showdown between Joe and an incredibly angry Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) at Home Farm, Joe will find himself in grave danger as a mystery gunman tracks him down.
As Joe tries to make a run from his attacker, he falls into a pit that has been covered by moss.
Injured, and stuck in this trap, Joe is left by his attacker — presumably for dead.

Thankfully he's discovered by an Emmerdale neighbour, though he's startled when his helping hand comes from Ross, who has recently dedicated himself to helping his ex-girlfriend, Debbie.
This vulnerable position could leave Joe in an even worse state, after Cain threatened that Joe will learn not to mess with Debbie “the hard way”.
With Cain and Ross’ plans for revenge building, these two could be the prime suspects for the attack.
However, Emmerdale execs have yet to reveal the identity of the masked assailant, and the roster of suspects that would potentially want Joe out of the picture is increasing by the day.

No that’s right, you don’t, and he’s about to find that out the hard way
Debbie could also easily be considered, after the last night's explosive escapades.
Viewers could also suspect other members of the Dingle family: Sam Dingle (James Hooton), and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) - Joe's former stepmother.
Or perhaps Joe’s part-time friend Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) could be involved in the dastardly goings-on, after he saved the Dingle boys from being bulldozed.

Joe pushed everyone in the Dingle family away in recent storylines, following his attempt to bulldoze Wishing Well Cottage, endangering the lives of both Samson (Sam Hall) and Noah Dingle (Jack Downham).
Ned Porteous has been nominated for the Best Newcomer award at the Nation Television Awards which airs tonight.
