EastEnders: Stacey confesses to cheating on Martin
The pair slept together on Christmas Eve with Max (played by Jake Wood) declaring his love for Stacey (Lacey Turner) leaving her feeling conflicted.
Feeling guilty about her betrayal she confessed to spending the night with the soap villain to her husband Martin Fowler (James Bye) in last night’s gripping instalment.
But will Stacey leave Martin and stand by Max’s side as he struggles through the aftermath of his daughters’ accident?
Speaking about their romance, soap boss John teased: “There will always be a connection between them, so again, we’ll just wait and see if that plays out at all.

“She was there with all the revenge stuff, she was showing concern to Max. I think there’s still a connection - she’s there for him if she needs to be.”
He continued: “I think she’s the only person who would give him the time of day or will be there for him when everyone else has cut him out - his family, his community.
“So whether that is something that Max will rely on, we’ll have to wait and see.”
Meanwhile, fans are currently worried about Lauren Branning’s (Jacqueline Jossa) son Louie, who has not been seen since her fall.

The toddler was strapped into Tanya Branning’s (Jo Joyner) car before Lauren rushed to the top of the Queen Vic pub to stop Max from jumping.
However, in a cruel twist, she fell from the roof and is currently fighting for her life - will she wake to find Louie is missing?
