STRICTLY COME DANCING’S Shirley Ballas was involved in an embarrassing on air gaffe while appearing on BBC Radio 2 today.

The BBC head judge was being interviewed by Sara Cox, 43, ahead of the show’s grand final this weekend.
As Sara prepared to cut to a break, she reminded listeners that she would continue her conversation with Shirley.
But as she introduced the International Latin Champion she uttered the wrong name twice.
Despite, the epic blunder Shirley, 59, saw the funny side to it and began to giggle as the presenter attempted to correct her mistake.

The mother-of-one even intercepted with a few odd names herself to try and lighten the mood.
During the interview, Shirley also addressed rumours that she is quitting Strictly Come Dancing next year.
For weeks, reports have circulated that Shirley, who replaced Len Goodman this series, would not return to the show.

However, Shirley revealed that she would be thrilled to be back next year, saying: “Well we haven’t got over the first one, but I’ve had the most magical time on the show and if the invitation came, I would be delighted.”
This weekend Alexandra Burke, Gemma Atkinson, Joe McFadden and Debbie McGee will compete against each other to win the Glitterball trophy.
However, Shirley remained tight-lipped about who she thought could win the series, saying: “I think it’s going to be the most unpredictable final ever in Strictly history,” she admitted. “They’ve all brought magic this season."
The Strictly Come Dancing final airs tomorrow at 6.30pm on BBC One.
