MAX BRANNING struggles to hold it together in tonight's episode of EastEnders as his actions begin to worry his family.

Since being double-crossed by James Willmott-Brown (played by William Boyde) and Fi Browning (Lisa Faulkner), Max's behaviour has become a cause for concern.
Daughters Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) and Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) are seen rallying round their father in his hour of need.
Also present is his former lover and ex-daughter-in-law Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner).
However, tensions are running high and Max (Jake Wood) quickly becomes angered by their interference.

Recent events have clearly taken their toll as he was involved in some distressing scenes earlier in the week.
Max's brother Jack (Scott Maslen) had to stop him from holding a lit cigar to his already visibly scarred arm.
In Tuesday's episode, Jack also had to resort to hitting Max round the face to calm him down after a confrontation with Fi.

The same instalment also saw Josh Hemmings (Eddie Eyre) give Lauren a copy of Max's contract which claims 20 percent of Weyland and Co earnings belong to him.
Will his family be able to help? Or is it too little too late for Max?
