Following a "flawless" performance by the former magicians' assistant, the 27-year-old was struggling to contain his joy as the judging panel sung the pair's praises.
But when the perfectly-matched couple received their first 10 score from Craig Revel-Horwood, Sicilian Giovanni jumped in the air and began crying with happiness.
While Debbie, 59, was only able to squeak that she "couldn't speak", her partner was in awe of her.
"Well done Debbie," presenter Claudia Winkleman said, before spying how emotional Giovanni was at seeing their hard work pay off.
