CORONATION STREET has confirmed that Bruno Langley has left the ITV soap following recent claims made against him.

An ITV spokesperson confirmed to Express.co.uk that the actor "is no longer contracted to the show".
Bruno has played Todd Grimshaw on the Cobbles since 2001 and became the first openly gay character in the soap.
The 35-year-old, who has denied any claims of wrongdoing made against him, said of his departure: "Sadly I will no longer be working on Coronation Street.

"Acting on the show has been the fulfilment of a personal dream.
"Playing the role of Todd Grimshaw since I was 17 years old has been a huge part of my life, and an absolute honour.
"I would like to thank all my friends who work on the show for their love, friendship and support during this difficult period."
Bruno added that he will make another statement "when [he] is able to do so."
The soap star featured in the show for three years in 2001 before returning regularly to the role he made his own.
He came back fully in 2013 and has recently starred in complex story lines with love interest Billy Mayhew (played by Daniel Brocklebank).
Coronation Street continues tomorrow on ITV at 7.30pm.
