STRICTLY COME DANCING favourite Alexandra Burke has spoken out about the traumatic moment she broke down in tears following her performance on Saturday night.

The X Factor singer propelled across the ballroom dance floor to a Jive with her professional partner Gorka Marquez.
But following the powerful portrayal of Proud Mary by 1970s icon Tina Turner, Alexandra began sobbing uncontrollably when the judges' exceptional scores began rolling in.
In one devastating moment, the star said: "I wish my mum was here."
Now, speaking to It Takes Two host Zoe Ball, Alexandra revealed the truth behind that charged moment on the series.

It was a bit too much for me because I wanted her to be there to celebrate that moment
"It was a really emotional night for you as well," Zoe, 46, noted.
"It wasn't meant to be," the bookies' favourite to win began. "The Jive is really fun, but I think what happened to me was - I saw my brother and my boyfriend in the audience and I just visualised my mum.
"It was a bit too much for me because I wanted her to be there to celebrate that moment."
The singer added: "But I'm just grateful to everyone who has supported me so far because it's been a tough journey."

Alexandra also revealed she was worried that with her partner's body being in optimum shape, she would get swamped underneath his bulky frame.
Luckily, she joked: "I didn't get knocked out by his bottom thank god, so it was a success."
