As the 56-year-old made his way on to the stage with his professional dance partner Amy Dowden, Brian seemed to misplace his footing.
The entertainer fell head first up the stage stairs leaving host Zoe Ball in shock.
Not one to make a fuss, Brian cooly picked himself up and slouched down on the It Takes Two sofa.
Zoe, 46, gasped: "We're going to be in so much trouble!" as the contestant pretended to be in agony.

Amy called her dance partner "so naughty" as Zoe wondered if one of their competitors had tripped them up on purpose.
Brian was saved from the dance off in last week's show as Reverend Richard Coles was the second celebrity to be eliminated.
However, his success wasn't without controversy as reports emerged suggesting he had an "unfair advantage" over his competitors.
Brian's brother Alan works on the show, forcing the entertainer to slam rumours he is getting "special treatment".
Elsewhere on the dramatic instalment of It Takes Two, head judge Shirley Ballas suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.
The 57-year-old not only showed off her dancing skills, but also her underwear during an impromptu performance with Kevin Clifton.
