EastEnders spoilers: Viewers in uproar at THIS major Sharon Mitchell gaffe
EASTENDERS viewers couldn’t help but point out another blunder last night as Sharon Mitchell finally lashed out after receiving nuisance calls.
Sharon Mitchell made an unforgivable blunder on EastEnders
EastEnders: Sharon is tormented by an anonymous caller
Sharon’s (played by Letitia Dean) patience had been wearing thin recently after her home phone was ringing off the hook with calls from Michelle Fowler’s (Jenna Russell) stalker Tom (Daniel Casey).
And she finally reached her boiling point and resorted to asking the police for help.
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed Sharon had dialled 999 despite the situation clearly not being an immediate emergency.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to express their uproar at the major mishap as they believed she should have called 101 instead.

EastEnders: Sharon Mitchell caused uproar amongst fans as she called 999
One person commented: “Why did Sharon ring 999 for that? Isn't there a non-emergency number in Walford? #EastEnders.”
Another couldn’t believe the gaffe as they wrote: “Sharon did not just call 999 to report some funny phone calls?!!! #Eastenders.”
“Sharon that's not exactly a 999 call is it #Eastenders,” exclaimed a third.
It appears Sharon’s interference in asking the police for help doesn’t resolve matters with Tom and Michelle, as next week viewers will see the situation come to a head.
EastEnders: The police later arrived to discuss the annoying calls
Following weeks of torment, Michelle resorts to violent threats to get her pursuer to back off and leave her alone.
When she sees Tom hanging around Albert Square, she launches at him and immediately pins him up against the wall by grabbing his throat.
Has Michelle's threat put herself in even more danger?
EastEnders continues tomorrow on BBC One at 8pm.
