Victoria season 2 spoilers: New trailer hints at major threat for Queen in Scotland
VICTORIA’S new season two trailer suggests that the Queen will face a worrying threat in Scotland following the events of last week’s instalment.
Victoria retreats to Scottish Highlands after assassination attempts
The monarch (played by Jenna Coleman) fled to the Highlands after a terrifying assassination attempt in the ITV drama, which has led to her finally facing an important and brand new character.
Portrayed by Star Wars actor Denis Lawson, the Duke of Atholl is determined to provide his Queen and her husband Prince Albert (Tom Hughes) with the protection they need during their stay in the country.
However, as the royal carriage pulls up to the impressive stately home - complete with a welcoming sound of traditional Scottish bagpipe music - Victoria is stunned to see the Duke and his entourage there to greet her.
“Duke, what a pleasant surprise,” she says unconvincingly.
