The X Factor 2017: Viewers RAGE against judges’ new tactic ‘This is staged!’
THE X FACTOR viewers were left feeling sick of the judges’ new tactic on tonight’s episode, and criticised the talent series for being “too staged”.
X Factor: Irish brothers Sean and Conor Price sing and rap
When Glasgow busker Gregor Coleman first entered the studio, he failed to impress the judges with his heartfelt singing, and music producer Simon Cowell stopped him mid-strum of his guitar.
Warning him that he was “just like everyone else” and would get “lost in the crowd”, the 57-year-old eventually decided to give the Scot another chance.
While the other judges - Nicole Scherzinger, Alesha Dixon, and Louis Walsh - all claimed they loved the singer, they seemed to agree that the contestant needed to try something different.
Disappointed by what appeared to be a set-up however, viewers took to Twitter to express their feelings on the decision.
Fans were angry at the judges' new tactics
Gregor was asked to return and perform a different song
Some viewers felt that the panel had a staged script
NOT ANOTHER COME BACK LATER - we all know what happened last time Simon!
“They always get them to do a second song when they've made up their mind they're going to promote them and put them through #XFactor,” one person posted.
Another viewer said angrily: “NOT ANOTHER COME BACK LATER - we all know what happened last time Simon! #XFactor.”
“F**k this new 'can I stop you there, how about something else' rubbish #xfactor,” another echoed.
Some people were blown away by the 24-year-old’s unusual voice but struggled to get past the frustrating format of his audition.

“I don't like this whole come back later thing but I did like him hope he does well #XFactor #xfactor2017,” one person commented.
Afterwards, Simon said: “You went from a busker to an artist. I absolutely loved the audition and I’ve got to tell you, you really look the part.
“I really admire you for what you just done, there’s something really authentic and we got to know you so much more just by doing this.”
The X Factor continues tomorrow at 8pm on ITV.
