The judge appeared on today's episode of Lorraine and gave his side on the controversial debate that hit headlines yesterday.
Craig, 52, told the host: "I think same sex couples can exist and you only have to decide who's going to go backwards, that's the only difference!"
This comes after the BBC made their position clear on the debate, issuing the following statement: "Strictly has chosen the traditional format of mixed-sex couples and at the moment we have no plans to introduce same-sex couples in the competition."
However, Craig believes this will change soon, saying he thinks it will happen as soon as next year.
