THE X FACTOR returns to television screens this weekend and it's not without drama as Nicole Scherzinger has opened up about her relationship with Simon Cowell.

The former Pussycat Dolls star has worked alongside the media mogul for a number of years now but there's one thing that the 57-year-old does that annoys the singer.
Speaking at the launch of the new series of The X Factor, fellow judge Louis Walsh told press including Express.co.uk: "She will say something very intelligent about a song or an artist and then Simon will repeat it.
"Then he will say to Nicole, 'Guess which one is going to go in the edit?'"
Nicole continued: "I always say, 'I just said that, you're repeating what I said,' and he's like, 'Not in the edit, darling'.

"Now, when he's talking, I do a thing when I talk over him so he can't use it."
Aside from clashing over who said what on the judging panel, the 39-year-old revealed that she has a good working relationship with Simon.
"I think I've grown a lot," Nicole said about working on the ITV singing competition. "As I've grown as a woman, I've gotten more confident and trusting myself even more, so he trusts me.
"I've learned so much from Mrs O and Simon and Louis."

The pair went on to add that while they joke around on set, they work really hard with both their artists and each other.
""We all have a relationship with each other, we have great chemistry and we respect one another," the singer explained.
Louis added: "We make fun and we have a laugh but we do take it very seriously. We take it so seriously."
The X Factor returns to ITV on Saturday at 8pm.
