The TV medium quickly followed Jemma Lucy and Chad Johnson’s swift departure, however his experience in the Channel 5 show did not go how he had originally predicted it would.
During his interview with host Emma Willis, the 67-year-old admitted that he told his wife that he’d be home after a week before it was announced he had come fourth.
When asked about watching the likes of Sandi Bogle and Helen Lederer leave before him, Derek commented: “I couldn’t believe it. Every time!”
The Most Haunted star continued: “Before I came away to come into the show, I said to Gwen, ‘I’ll be a week. I’ll be the first to go’. I just felt it.
