JANET STREET-PORTER was left visibly moved on Loose Women today as she spoke out about the “moving” video Sinead O'Connor has released.

The journalist, who was celebrating her 500th episode, looked emotional on being asked about the hitmaker’s clip, in which she discussed her mental health issues.
The 70-year-old said the 12-minute upload “broke her heart” after pal Sinead said she was suicidal and living alone in a $70-a-night Travelodge in New Jersey.
Revealing the pair were close around the same time she released Nothing Compares 2 U in 1990, Janet commented: “I can hardly bear that clip.
“It really affects me. She’s a fantastic person, so special, and yet she’s bipolar and she can’t see that…”

Janet continued: “I know there’s been messages saying she’s being looked after, but I think that is the raw truth about what being mentally ill is all about.
“It’s not easy, it’s quite ugly and full marks to Sinead for putting that out,” during a chat with Andrea McLean, Katie Price and Linda Robson.
Later in the programme, as Janet marked her milestone instalment, she was asked if she’d ever had her heartbroken and she once again mentioned Sinead, 50.

She added: “When I saw the video of Sinead, I was incredibly moved. The thing is, I’ve had friendships and relationships that have been very close to my heart.
“I can honestly say to see Sinead like that, broke my heart.”
Janet was presented with a cake by none other Eamonn Holmes while candidly discussing her own background and family.
