LOVE ISLAND star Marcel Somerville has admitted that Jeremy Corbyn could have been behind his loss on the ITV2 show.

The former popstar and his girlfriend Gabby Allen were heavily tipped to win Love Island after boasting millions of fans, including the Labour leader.
Jeremy Corbyn urged viewers to back Marcel, which the 31-year-old has teased could have been his downfall.
“I’d advise that Marcel needs a vote…We should give him a vote. He needs a bit of, shall I say, TLC,” he told the legion of Love Island fans.
However, after Corbyn’s backing, Marcel and Gabby fell out of favour and lost out on the show’s £50,000 prize fund.

There are obviously people there who don’t really like him
“There are obviously people there who don’t really like him,” Marcel admitted, exclusively to Express.co.uk. “But at the same time, he’s Jeremy Corbyn!
“I don’t know, we finished fourth - I’m joking! It’s big to be supporting you.”
Gabby added: “It’s mad that these people know who we are, that’s weird isn’t it?”

Elsewhere, the Love Island stars fought back at Piers Morgan, after he continually disregarded the reality TV contestants as “the most stupid collection of people”.
Thankfully, they got the support of his Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid, who defended the group during a particularly fiery interview with champion Amber Davies’ sister.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV, while Love Island is expected to return to ITV2 next year.
