The Chase: Countdown’s Rachel Riley SNUBBED as brutal player makes shocking swipe
RACHEL RILEY was snubbed on today’s episode of The Chase after one contestant didn’t hold back from making a cutting remark.
Chase contestant says nephew prefers Governess to Rachel Riley
Stuart, from Dundee, excitedly told the ITV show’s host Bradley Walsh that his nephew was also a fan, and pointedly told him that he prefers one of the show’s genius chasers to the blonde mathematician.
While Stuart hoped that he’d have a chance against Anne Hegerty or Shaun Wallace, he ended up having to battle Mark Labbett, who is also known as The Beast on the series.
"My wife said she'd like me to face Shaun because she thinks he's got a lovely smile,” he began. “My nephew Aidan really likes the Governess.”
As Bradley took this information in, the 38-year-old cut in to add: He used to like Rachel Riley from Countdown but has decided that Anne’s much better than her.”

Stunned, the comedian turned to face the camera with a shrug before hastily responding to the contestant.
“That is good. That’s praise indeed!” he chuckled.
Despite having to face the haughty Cambridge graduate during head-to-head, Stuart didn’t let nerves faze him and managed to get back to the table with £8,000.
Sadly, with just one other in the final chase - 20-year-old Adam - Stuart failed to win against the Beast who still had an agonising five seconds to spare.
