JASON DERULO appeared on Lorraine this morning to discuss his new single but he also spoke out about the horrific attack at his friend Ariana Grande’s concert on Monday.

He told the ITV host that he wanted to post a tribute to those in Manchester who had lost their lives but felt there were “no words that were appropriate”.
“Concerts are supposed to be a place of love and sharing,” he went on to add. “This disgusting moment has changed that but we shouldn’t live in fear.”
Jason said that he believed the bombing should “not deter us” from enjoying the music we love and attending concerts with friends.
He told Lorraine Kelly: “Music brings us together, it’s about love and unity, the camaraderie that comes out of a concert is unbelievable.”

Following the attack, many celebrities took to social media to express their heartbreak at the shocking events that unfolded.
However many, including Madonna and Kim Kardashian, were criticised for their “insensitive” posts.
The Queen of Pop faced a fierce backlash after sharing her relief that Ariana was safe in a smiling snap posted on her Instagram page.
The 58-year-old wrote: “Thank goodness my friend is O’K. Let’s all pray for the innocent victims who are not ok. For their families and for Manchester.”(sic)

Her upload attracted criticism for prioritising Ariana over the young fans who had been tragically killed.
One fan slammed: “This post was so damn unnecessary! Think more before you post this kind of s***! Over the top narcissistic…”
While another agreed: “She should NOT use such a tragedy for self-promotion! Another picture and words would fit better!”
