Coleen Nolan: My daughter too scared to go out now
The 52-year-old panelist revealed that her daughter Ciara is now “too scared” to go out after two of her school friends were caught up in the attack while enjoying a night out at Ariana Grande’s Manchester Arena concert.
Coleen also admitted to cancelling future concert plans with her 15-year-old daughter during a phone-in to today’s ITV daytime show.
Speaking to the Loose Women panel, Coleen said: "I was taking her to a show in town, at a theatre, but she said she didn’t want to go because she is too scared.
“She had two of her school friends who were actually at the concert. Thankfully they managed to escape.

Although they managed to escape, the things they saw were just horrific
"One didn’t go in to school yesterday, the other one did, but was in just crying and sobbing most of the day at school.”
She continued: “Although they managed to escape, the things they saw were just horrific.
“People lying there in blood and kids and something that we’ve got to be aware of because it’s going to affect people for the rest of their lives, what they saw.”
Visibly moved, host Andrea McLean asked about upcoming school exams, saying: “There was talk in Ciara’s school that obviously a lot of teenagers are coming up to exam time now and that the exams are going to be put back. Is that still the case?”

Talking about moving the exam dates, Coleen explained: “Yes, Ciara’s year are nearly half way through their GCSEs and there was talk of postponing them for a week or two. Obviously because of this and it has affected the kids.
“But actually the kids have decided that they want to carry on and continue to finish their GCSEs.”
Loose Women continues tomorrow on ITV at 12.30pm.
