Eurovision 2017: Georgia's Tako appears to be on FIRE during semi-final performance
THE first semi-final of the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest kicked off last night, but one hopeful appeared to be engulfed in flames.

Tamara 'Tako' Gachechiladze, who was representing Georgia to win a spot in the singing competition, set the stage alight with her incredible performance.
As she took to the stage in Ukraine’s capital city Kiev to perform her song Keep The Faith, the singer seemed to be set on fire.
Wearing a dazzling red gown, the show-stopping pyrotechnics almost caused alarm as they engulfed around her.
But, viewers were certainly impressed with the dramatic stage effects.

One viewer wrote: “Georgia's song is FIRE. Both literally and figuratively. #eurovision.”
“Not a fan of Georgia's song but have to admit the staging was pretty impressive #eurovision,” said another.
A third added: “Fire effects too. Georgia aren't screwing around! #EUROVISION.”
However, her impressive performance wasn’t enough to land Georgia a spot in this weekend’s grand final.
The ten counties that qualified for the extravaganza were Moldova, Azerbaijan, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Armenia, Australia, Cyprus and Belgium.

The hopeful’s will be joining UK entry, former X Factor contestant Lucie Jones, and the other Big Five countries - France, Germany, Italy and Spain - in the hope of being crowned this year's winner.
The next ten finalists will be selected during another semi-final round tomorrow night.
Countries competing for the last remaining places include Serbia, Austria, F.Y.R Macedonia, Malta, Romania, The Netherlands, Hungary, Denmark, Ireland, San Marino, Croatia, Norway, Switzerland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia and Israel.
The Eurovision Song Contest grand finale will air Saturday from 8pm on BBC One.
