EastEnders spoiler: Did you spot THIS huge Charlie Cotton clue ahead of twisted comeback?
EASTENDERS all but confirmed Charlie Cotton would be returning to Albert Square last night to team up with Max Branning for a sick revenge plot.
EastEnders: Max Branning brings up Charlie Cotton
Since Max (played by Jake Wood) returned to Walford before Christmas, he’s been suspiciously pleasant to his neighbours, though, EastEnders iewers know he’s secretly plotting to take down the Queen Vic.
However, the popular drinking haunt isn’t the only target on Max’s hit-list as it’s been widely speculated he’s determined to get revenge on his brother by introducing Charlie back on the Square to bring up his biological son Matthew.
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) has become Matthew’s guardian since Ronnie (Samantha Womack) and Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) dramatically drowned in a controversial twist on New Year’s Day, but that could all be about to change.
During the latest instalment of the BBC soap, Max’s catch up with Charlie’s grandmother Dot Cotton (June Brown) appeared to be the subtle beginning of an explosive comeback.

You still in touch with Charlie
"You still in touch with Charlie?" he asked Dot. "I could try and get hold of a number for you."
Dot agreed Matthew needed his father, before Max smirked: “Well, if you think that’s what’s best.”
Actor Declan Bennett was recently snapped filming Charlie’s comeback in chilling scenes with Max.

Charlie Cotton was last seen in EastEnders in 2015
Dot's grandson was last seen on the Square in 2015 when he was scared out of Walford by Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood) and tried to flee the East End with his child in tow.
His plans foiled at the time, but it seems he’ll finally get his wish with his return to Walford executed imminently.
EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
