The BAFTA-award winning actress was on the famous ITV sofa to promote her new play Madame Rubinstein, in which she stars as glamorous cosmetics entrepreneur Helena.
However, throughout the duration of the chat, Miriam was chomping down on a cone, which she had been given by Holly earlier on.
A consummate professional, Phillip said that he would ask her a really long question, so she would have time to finish the sweet treat.
Unfazed, the 75-year-old replied. "Oh no it's alright. I'll talk with my mouth full."
A highly amused Holly, 36, laughed: "I've never conducted an interview with somebody eating an ice cream before. We should do it all the time."
