Coronation Street: Ken Barlow COLLAPSES to the floor
The 84-year-old Corrie veteran is the ITV soap's longest-serving star, having appeared on the very first episode back in 1960.
But, earlier this week, fans were horrified when his character was pushed down the stairs by a mystery attacker with the Daily Mirror now reporting that Bill is the only actor who knows the true identity of the assailant.
With Ken fighting for his life in hospital, an insider revealed: "A lot of the cast have been asking to not know who is guilty so they don't change how they act on screen. They also like playing along.

"But Bill has just had another batch of scripts sent to him, so he now has worked out who it is."
During tonight's episode, viewers will see Pat Phelan (played by Connor McIntyre) top the police suspect list after suspicions begin to rise that he is the culprit.
Pat will be arrested after the police learn about his recent row with Ken over the unfinished kitchen building work.
Yesterday, fans of the soap were left wondering if Ken's granddaughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) was the one who tried to kill him, after it was revealed that she was on the phone to Adam (Sam Robertson) the night before the incident.
Rumours are flying that Amy might have been involved
Police are investigating and will arrest Pat Phelan on tonight's episode
Amy was previously seen discussing money on the phone and a conversation between her and Adam at the hospital during last night's episode confirmed him as the mystery caller.
Amy was seen asking her cousin if he had "picked up" the cash she had left in the house for him.
Adding to the suspicious behaviour, Adam then demanded that she delete any messages they had exchanged.
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
