Len, 72, quit the hit BBC dancing series last year with speculation rife about who will take his place on the judging panel.
Former Prima Ballerina Darcey, 47, admitted she was in the dark over the new judge.
“We don’t have any idea what will happen and I know they’re not going to tell us until the last minute," she explained to the Sunday Mirror.
“It’s gone very quiet all of a sudden on the rumoured names front. I’m nervous – it’s a good nervous, not bad nerves – but, yeah, I’m getting excited.

“Everyone is asking when it will be announced and I should think it will happen when they announce the celebrities.”
The 2016 celebrity contestants were announced in late August last year, meaning it could be up to five months before Len's replacement is revealed.
In the same interview, Darcey said it would be unlikely that Craig Revel Horwood would be promoted to head judge as he would be too busy in his role as producer for the show.

Former ballroom dancer Gary Edwards, 50, has been tipped by bookmakers to waltz his way onto the panel, ahead of Strictly professional Anton du Beke.
Last week, bookies William Hill slashed Gary's odds from 6/4 to evens ahead of Anton at 2/1.
Australian dancer Jason Gilkison is priced at 3/1, while Brendan Cole and Karen Hardy have odds of 8/1 and 14/1 respectively.
Strictly Come Dancing is expected to return to BBC One later this year.
