THE latest instalment of The Walking Dead had fans riled up and this time it wasn’t due to the graphic violence.
The Walking Dead season 7: Fans SLAM ‘awful’ use of CGI deer in episode 12
The Walking Dead fans enraged over use of CGI deer
As Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) fought off a horde of walkers in an amusement park, the leader of the Alexandrians spotted a deer.
He noticed the animal as he climbed a ferris wheel and believing that he “owes” Michonne a deer after he handed the last one she killed to Negan in episode four, he took aim.
Rick took a moment to decide whether or not he should shoot the animal but eventually fired at the deer as walkers approached it.
And fans were certainly not pleased about the brief scene as they realised the deer was fake and the result of CGI.
Many of those tuning into episode 12 of the zombie series were quick to take to social media to slam the show for using a fake animal.

And the award for this week’s worst GCI moment goes to, The Walking Dead… oh deer
One viewer commented: “Looks like they spent all the CGI money on the tiger and had none left over for the deer. #TheWalkingDeadUK #TheWalkingDead.”
While another added: “The worst looking deer I’ve ever seen #TheWalkingDead.”
“Still dying over how poor that CGI deer was, good lord; what a mess that was!” a third mocked.
Someone else asked: “Is it just me that thought the deer in The Walking Dead was one of the worst bits of CGI I have ever seen?”
A fifth joked: “And the award for this week’s worst GCI moment goes to, The Walking Dead… oh deer.”

The Walking Dead: Fans recently speculated about an unknown object behind Rick
“The Walking Dead makes a mountain of cash, which makes that awful CGI deer in the amusement park all the more awful,” another tweeted.
It comes after the series sent the internet into meltdown when what appeared to be an aeroplane was spotted in the background of episode 10.
As Rick stood on a pile of rubbish in a junkyard, a strange object could be seen flying past, with many fans believing it to be a plane.
Express.co.uk contacted the UK broadcaster of The Walking Dead for comment as viewers speculated whether it was a bird, plane or UFO, but a spokesperson declined to comment.
The Walking Dead airs on Monday on FOX at 9pm.
