Piers Morgan SLAMMED by GMB viewers over 'offensive' chat with 'pie-eating' Wayne Shaw
PIERS MORGAN may have spent the morning gushing over Sutton reserve goalkeeper Wayne Shaw who was pictured eating a pie in the stands during yesterday's FA Cup game, but viewers were less than impressed with just how much attention the presenter was giving him on today's Good Morning Britain.

Piers, 51, opened up today's GMB interview by offering Wayne six cornish pasties in exchange for him making the transfer to Arsenal, after the footballer was pictured eating a pie during yesterday's FA Cup game.
However, despite the presenter - who insisted that there's more to being an athlete than being a stick-insect - constantly declaring his love for just how much attention yesterday's pie-eating photograph got, social networkers were quick to dub the whole thing "uncomfortable" and even suggested that the goalie was being "fat-shamed".
One person posted: "I feel so uncomfortable watching @GMB! Why can't you concentrate on the actual football instead of body shaming?!"

I feel so uncomfortable watching @GMB! Why can't you concentrate on the actual football instead of body shaming?!
"@GMB I think that Piers Morgan is being rude & offensive towards the Sutton Reserve Goalie Wayne Shaw..Have u looked in the mirror lately!!?" a second ranted.
A third raged: "@GMB just basically watched him ripped to pieces for being fat, i bet he's glad he went on now," as another went on: "Wow! @GMB fat shaming the Sutton goalie to his face! Shameful and awkward. Not cool GMB, not cool :("
Those weren't the only negative comments, with a further person sharing: "All this is, is p**s taking because he's a large lad who plays a sport! Pretty discriminating."

Social media comments aside though, Piers spent the morning gushing over the sportsman.
He told Wayne earlier on in today's show: “You’re my hero, you were a legend last night at half time you were at the pub with your your mates.
"You’re a symbol of athletes of our kind all over the world."
