Helen Skelton BLASTED for 'painful presenting' as she replaces Lorraine on ITV show
HELEN SKELTON may have been praised for her presenting skills on Lorraine in the past, but viewers were less than impressed as she resumed her hosting duties this morning.
Helen Skelton takes over from Lorraine
The 33-year-old - who hit headlines last year when she hosted the Rio Olympics swimming coverage in an array of daring outfits - replaced Lorraine; who is taking a break for three weeks to celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary.
It looks like fans of the ITV show are already missing the much-loved Scot, as social media users immediately took to Twitter to voice their disgust.
One person posted: "This is painful to watch this presenter ugh #lorraine."
A second moaned: "#lorraine Helen Skelton's always in such a rush to get her words out, that she talks over whoever she's 'interviewing'."
A third wrote: "#Lorraine Christ on a bike where do you find these weak giggling presenters from?"

This is painful!
A further social networker joked that Lorraine "can no longer be bothered to host the show," so has arranged to have replacements.
The Twitter user asked: "Can't #Lorraine be bothered to turn up to host her own show now?"
Lorraine is currently fulfilling a lifelong ambition by following a voyage, taken a century ago, by Polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton in the South Atlantic to South Georgia.
Helen replaced Lorraine to front today's show
Announcing her adventure, Lorraine said: “I’m so excited for what will definitely be a trip of a lifetime and I feel very reassured to know that the show is in such safe hands while I’m away.
"I’ll be keeping in touch from Antarctica throughout my journey and I look forward to sharing my adventure with Lorraine viewers when I get back!”
Countryfile host Helen's latest role comes after she presented the programme for a week last October.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
