Dramatic trailer for season 5 of Prison Break
When does Prison Break season 5 start?
The revived series began on Tuesday April 4 in the US, and will premiere on Monday April 10 at 9pm on Fox UK
What will happen in Prison Break season 5?
The biggest news is that Michael Scofield is back, eight years after he apparently died in Prison Break: The Final Break.
While writers are keeping tight-lipped about how Michael cheated death, Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) has promised that there will be “a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world”.
“The show is taking place in Yemen,” he said. “We're dealing with ISIS.
“Obviously we left off with Michael presumably dead. He wasn't, he ended up working for this organisation.
“It got to the point where he couldn't do it anymore, and they threw him in a jail in Yemen to change his mind. He didn't change his mind, they set him up.”

Years of working with terrorists has changed Michael, Wentworth Miller has said.
There's a question as to whether or not he's still a good man.
“It's been seven years and he's walked a dark road,” he teased.
“He's been up to some not so nice things and there's a question as to whether or not he's even qualified to be considered a good man.
“Has he crossed the line in a way that he can never come back? That's at the heart of the story we're currently telling.”

T-Bag is also back, but is now a changed man
A synopsis released in March 2016 gave away: “When clues surface suggesting that Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to engineer the series' biggest escape ever.”
Later, a teaser revealed that it is none other than T-Bag – sporting a new prosthetic hand – who lets Lincoln know that his brother “might just be alive”.
Purcell spilled some major spoilers while speaking about an injury he sustained on set.
“It was just basically me running into this prison to look for my brother, Michael," he explained.

“Basically, the regime in Yemen had collapsed, it was in complete chaos and turmoil, and the gates were open so all the prisoners were released. And I'm
running in trying to get through and find Michael, and I can't. But then the iron bar hit me on the head…”
The new series will also feature Michael’s widow Sara Tancredi, who has moved on and remarried.
It isn’t known whether Michael will reunite with Sara and their son, but a trailer showed that he had been keeping tabs on them before he was imprisoned.

He made his return to TV in DC series The Flash opposite Dominic Purcell, who also returns to Prison Break as Michael’s brother Lincoln Burrows.
Sarah Wayne Callies is back as Sara Tancredi, with Amaury Nolasco as Sucre, Rockmond Dunbar as Benjamin ‘C-Note’ Franklin and Paul Adelstein as Kellerman.

Robert Knepper returns as Theodore ’T-Bag’ Bagwell, and has promised a fresh take on the villain.
He revealed: “I said to [creator] Paul Schering, 'Please, can we keep it fresh? Can we do something that's different than what we did before?’
“What has happened to Teddy in the last six years, while he was in prison? Could this person change? How could he change, and how deeply could he change, and would he stay that way?
“I came up with a lot of ideas, that Paul and I talked about - and I think he utilised them a lot.”
Mark Feuerstein joins the cast as Scott Ness – Sara’s new husband, and Inbar Lavi will play Lincoln’s new love interest Sheba.
The Fast and the Furious’ Rick Yune plays Ja – a “genius identity thief”, while Augustus Prew plays a new character named Whip.
Rounding out the cast are newcomer Amin El Gamal as Cyclops, Marina Benedict as the villainous A&W and Kunal Sharma as Sid, an "artsy" prison inmate jailed for his sexuality.
