Countryfile fans accuse Tomasz Schafernaker of drinking before weather forecast blunder
COUNTRYFILE viewers have suggested that weather presenter Tomasz Schafernaker may have been drinking before his forecast during last night's show.
BBC weather make embarrassing on-screen spelling error
The Polish-British meteorologist was left red-faced as he attempted to give fans an update on the upcoming weather.
The 37-year-old accidentally told viewers the weather this week would be "dier" instead of "drier".
However, that wasn't not the only problem Tomasz faced during the four-minute broadcast.
Bemused viewers watched the weatherman ad-lib the forecast because of a technical glitch and dance through part of his slot.

The forecast predicted a 'dier' week instead of 'drier'
I meant DRIER
After his broadcast had aired, Tomasz took to social media to clear up the confusion, tweeting: "I meant DRIER."
But viewers thought there was an alternative explanation to the humorous broadcast with one wondering if the experienced meteorologist was drunk.
"Is it just me or did @Schafernaker seem a bit riddled on #countryfile @bbcweather? Funniest/best forecast ever," said one Twitter user.
Another tweeted: "Have you been drinking before your weather forecast tonight on #countryfile @Schafernaker!"
Viewers praised Tomasz for finishing his broadcast amidst problems
Tomasz recently failed to complete the shipping forecast for the first time in 91 years
Other Twitter users were keen to forgive the loveable presenter who has become famous for his exciting and unpredictable forecasts.
"@Schafernaker getting my hopes up of snow… but not enough to build an igloo and then a little dance in there… I'll ignore the typo," joked one.
Another praised Tomasz for finishing the broadcast amidst the tirade of problems, saying: "@Schafernaker you're a legend! Your country file weather bulletin left me howling - well done for not cracking up - could see you going!"
This latest blunder comes after Tomasz recently failed to finish a Shipping forecast after becoming ill live on Radio 4.
Countryfile continues Sundays on BBC One.
