Call The Midwife's Shelagh may suffer a miscarriage
Shelagh (played by Laura Main) discovered she was pregnant at the beginning of the series having previously thought she was infertile.
The former nun and her husband Dr Patrick Turner (Stephen McGann) were thrilled at the news, having longed for a child together for so long.
However, on tonight’s episode, their happiness was thrown into jeopardy when Shelagh began to bleed.
After a trip to the hospital, the obstetrician warned Dr Turner that, although the bleeding had stopped, Shelagh could miscarry at any point.
