The Chase's ‘Beast’ Mark Labett turned down I’m A Celebrity due to fears of 'cannibalism'
The Chase's Mark Labbett: I'm the best in the world
THE CHASE star Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett has revealed he turned down I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! because of his weight.
The 6ft7 quizzer who weighs 27 stone, admitted he was approached to go on the ITV show, but believes his body wouldn't be able to handle it.
He said he would lose a lot of weight if he was to go into the Australian jungle due to the low calorie intake from the basic rations which campmates have to live on.

If I survived a week in there I'd probably drop three stone and cannibalism would maybe on the cards
And the star even admitted he feared “cannibalism” would be “on the cards” if the lack of hunger takes over.
"I've been asked to do the jungle but the base calorie intake is about 700 calories. Look at me!
"If I survived a week in there I'd probably drop three stone and cannibalism would maybe on the cards,” he told The Mirror at the National Television awards 2017.
Speaking about his weight, Mark revealed food is his one "weakness".
He continued: "Does The Chase need me big? Put it this way, whenever I start losing weight because I'm doing a fitness kick or whatever, the producers go past me and hand me a second portion of pudding.

"Unfortunately this is my weakness. Drink, drugs, none of all that, but I can say no to food once, put it in front of me a second time and I'm like, 'Oh go on then!'"
At the awards ceremony, he also addressed claims that the ITV quiz show is fixed.
He thinks people find it hard to believe that the show’s brain boxes are actually that knowledgeable.
Mark said: ”I understand it because it comes down to one single thing: people don’t believe we’re that good."
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
