The pack took the spy monkey into the heart of their family and the robot animal could be seen sitting amongst them.
However, some of the monkeys became a little too excited with the spy, with one trying to babysit the hidden camera.
But, disaster struck when one of them dropped the spy monkey and they believed that it had died.
In the heartbreaking footage, the monkeys can be seen gathering around the baby they believe to be real to mourn their loss.

The extraordinary moment sees the animals step up one by one to pay their respects and react to the loss in the same way they do when their own babies die.
Narrator David Tenant commented: "Quite accidentally, our spy creature is at the centre of something extraordinary. Capturing emotions that have rarely been observed."
While many of those tuning into Spy in the Wild were offered some light relief from the tear-jerking moment however, when a tortoise mounted the spy creature.
As the robot animal sat observing others in the group, one tortoise became a little too friendly with the creature.

Viewers took to Twitter to comment on the hilarious incident, with one laughing: "Haha the tortoise sex was the greatest thing ever! The music done me!! #SpyintheWild."
While another added: "#SpyInTheWild when spy tortoise gets more action than he has wanted."
Despite the show receiving much praise from those at home, many questioned why spy cameras were used when much of the footage was filmed by cameramen.
Spy in the Wild continues on BBC One on Thursday at 8pm.
