Best known for his recent role as Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night's Watch in the fantasy drama, James was given a special Big Brother task to complete.
In the episode set to air this evening, the 68-year-old was called to the Diary Room to hear instructions for a challenge that relied solely on him.
Told that he must lead Tony the Pony through the house without Bianca Gascoigne seeing him, James laughed: “It’s going to be wonderful to share a brief time with something whose IQ is probably greater than some of the people in here.”
While Bianca, 30, was in the bedroom, the renowned actor walked Tony the Pony through the house and into the garden before announcing: “I am the Lord Commander, and this is my steed!”

Trying to contain their excitement to help James complete the task, the other housemates could be seen quietly congratulating the actor on his successful task.
It comes as after a series of housemate hospital visits almost threw the Channel 5 reality show into chaos.
Jedward's Edward Grimes was told by Big Brother that he would need to see a doctor after falling off the stage when entering the house.

The 25-year-old complained: "Now I have to go to hospital dressed like this, I look like I'm about to open a hospital!"
He added: "How weird is it to be in here without John? This is Jedward in crisis! Can someone get me hairspray!"
Fellow housemate Brandon Block was reportedly rushed to hospital after suffering from chest pains, however, the star's team have denied this, claiming it was a "routine" check-up.
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm.
