Golden Globes TV nominations 2017: Who are the nominees, who be a winner? Latest odds
THE CROWN is tipped to take home its first ever Golden Globes at this weekend’s ceremony, with The Night Manager also in line for glory. Here are all the latest odds for the Golden Globes 2017.
The Crown and The Night Manager are tipped to win big at the Golden Globes 2017
The Crown, Netflix’s lavish drama about the Royal Family, is favourite to win best TV drama while Claire Foy, who plays Queen Elizabeth, is tipped to take best actress.
John Lithgow is favourite to win best supporting actor for his role as Winston Churchill in the television category.
BBC’s The Night Manager is just ahead with four nominations, including best miniseries and best actor for Tom Hiddleston.
Game of Thrones is nominated for best drama and best supporting actress, but Betfair’s Katie Baylis says “it doesn’t look promising for the show this year either”.
“Game of Thrones has not fared well at the Golden Globes in the past, with just one win back in 2012 for Peter Dinklage,” she explained.
“Its only other nominee is Lena Headey in the Best Supporting Actress category, however at 10/1 she’s lagging well behind in the betting to fellow Brit and Westworld star Thandie Newton, who is the clear 1/2 favourite.”
Here are the nominations in full, with odds from Betfair where available (accurate as of Friday, January 6).
