The departure will be a swift one as the star has already filmed her final scenes, which will be shown in the New Year.
A source told The Sun: ”Tish has had an amazing couple of years where she’s been at the fore of some of Corrie's biggest storylines, but feels it’s now time for a change.”
Details of Steph’s departure have been kept very quiet and it is not known how she will leave Weatherfield.
However, she was spotted back in November with her on screen brother Luke (Dean Fagan) dragging suitcases at Manchester Airport.

Speculation that the 23-year-old was exiting the Cobbles became rife last week after her co-star Catherine Tyldesley, who plays barmaid Eva Price, posted a throwback picture of herself with Tisha dressed in lingerie.
Catherine captioned the image: “These sexy ladies. Gonna miss our Tish.”
Steph first arrived on Coronation Street back in February 2013 as a friend of Katy Armstrong (Georgia May Foote).
