VIEWERS have slammed Andy Murray after he was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year for a third time.

The 29-year-old tennis player has had a sensational year in sport, winning a second Wimbledon title, an Olympic Gold medal and becoming the first male British tennis ace to be ranked as world number one.
Accepting the award from Miami, Andy said he was proud to have been part of a great year of sport.
However, some sports fans were not best pleased with the choice.
One angry viewer said: "Outrageous, Murray has NO personality! #SPOTY."

While a third remarked: "Andy Murray looks as happy as always #SPOTY."
A fourth person said: "This year saw the opportunity for diversity in #SPOTY awards but white males have dominated. Disappointed."
Viewers were also annoyed that Gary Lineker was hosting after he made an anti-Brexit joke on Have I Got News For You on Friday.

Although, other people were thrilled that Dunblane-born Andy had been recognised for his achievements
One person said: "Congrats Andy Murray, well deserved #SPOTY."
Another called for Andy to receive a knighthood, adding: "1 more award to go for the year for @andy_murray - arise #SirAndyMurray - surely has to be #Murray #AndyMurray #SPOTY #SPOTY2016."
